only a Government Establishment is allowed to reside; And the original Act was revised and passed in its present shape, in consequence of a previous instance of Wreck of the Ship "Eagle"' in 1835, Similar applications (to Mess. C & Grassies) being made, which were not acceded to, it was deemed prudent to arm the Commissioners with their present Powers. The Commissioners beg to assure His Excellency that they have given this affair their best consideration, and are fully convinced that if permitted to proceed in the usual manner under the present law, (that as hitherto,) both owners & all concerned, will meet with full and ample justice.
