Some remarks respecting Capt.n Townsends report which is tolerably correct. -

First with regard to the Fulton being found laying in nearly the same position as when last reported by the Superintendant;
I must say that when reported, she laid where the sea broke heavily about her at High Water and half tide, and at Low water there was not water enough to work a boat well, but the Gale of the 25th of March, drove her in to where Capt.n Townsend found her, which was inside the bank, the cargo might at any time been shipped on board of a vessel much easier than it would have been landed on the Island, and from the date of the Superintendants report until after the 25th of March no boat would get off the North Side at all,

As to her valuable water casks not having been removed, they were full of water frozen solid, and their weight was too great to be removed, at the time last reported by Superintendant

As to the £15 to be allowed the Island for William Etters board, it is the first that I ever heard of it, and think it not correct, and his violent conduct had to be met with some
