We the undersigned passengers on board the Schooner "Fulton" J. T. Freights Master bound from St. Johns Newfoundland and wrecked at Sable Island on the 14th January last, Having been called upon by the Commissioners of Sable Island to state the treatment we received during the time of our residence on Said Island deposet and saith That I William Heron on our shortly after my being landed on Sable Island wishing to obtain milk and some other necessaries applied to the Superintendent offering to pay for the same Where I was told it could not be done; but was afterwards informed either by Mr. or Mrs Darby that I could board at the Superintendents on paying 5 {shillings symbol] a week, that I agreed at the time and remained with him 4 weeks and 2 days and paid the Superintendent Twenty Two Shillings and Six pence Currency.
I Thomas Casey also boarded with the Superintendent for the time of two weeks when my money being exhausted I paid ten Shillings and left to live with the other passengers
