Sir

We had a vessel come on shore here on the 10th Nov.r 1815 she had been afishing on the Grand Banks and had caught 8000 fish which they reeking at 10 fish to the Quintell which make Eight hundred Quintell — it was not in our power to save many of them as the sea ran so high - and we save.d a a little bread that was all the stores that was saved = and they had sixteen people to maintain all winter - which has made our provisions run very short = we have not had a bit of Bread this long time _ and eat all our turnips and potatoes up that we have none left for seed = I wish sir that you would send Cap.t Darby or some other vessell as soon as possible for we are in a starving condition = we have had no kind of small stores this long time = the Boat made two attempts and abledge.d to return again as the wind proved a Head = Benj.n Ginton was a coming of in her - only meeting with so much bad luck that he declined the business intirely — and there was three of the crew came in her = we save.d from the wreck schooner [Jindoustry?] Cap.t Gaffney from St. Miloes are as follows —
