Island of Sable May the 22 1819
Honourable Sir
It is with pleasure that I have embrace this favouable opportunity of writting these few lines to inform of your servants health that I enjoy at present and hoping by the blessing of god they will fiend your honer in the same I a stranger that is latley come to this country having : corspondance with any in Halifax therfore I think it most proper to trust to your honers generosity for sending to me such articles as I shall stand in need of while I stay on the Island and by so doing you will obligh your most humble servant
Pleas sir by answering by my request to send a memorandum of what the cost - to prevent any misunderstanding I have get Mr Hodgson to witness my hand writting.
