As you are in want of a good substantial vessel, to go to Sable Island to load & bring from thence to Halifax, a quantity of Merchandize of different kinds that has been saved from the Wreck of the Brig Hard times of Philadelphia, lately stranded on that Island -
I hereby make you an offer of my schooner the Hercules, now laying in this Harbour, of the burthen of One Hundred tons, and in very respectful and ready to proceed to sea, to receive on board such articles as you m ay have to send from hence for the use of the Island, and will proceed with the first fair wind to the said Island, where having landed the articles put on board here, I will commence as soon after as Weather will permit, to take onboard all such Merchandize as may be in readiness to Ship from the Island: And will assist with my Boats & as many of my Crew as may with safety be spared from the vessel, in bringing off from the shore, the articles intended to be put on board my vessel. And, I engage to Stow, or cause to be Stowed, the hold of the said Schooner Hercules in the best and most advantageous manner, to its full extent and reach: And, Likewise to load upon said Schooner's deck as much Cotton logwood and other articles as it can receive, and
For the hire of his Schooner Hercules to go to Sable Island to bring up the property saved from the wreck of the Brig Hard Times of Philadelphia standed there.
