till then, as our hey making is coming on, and we must attend to that, and then we have got all the things to fetch a crop the [pond?] up to the west end - Capt Darby had to fetch his load over himself and his hands = Capt Darby hired his son Joseph for you at Country Harbour at the rate of four pounds per month, which I am very glad he did, as he is a very good hand to mow, and about the hey = and the sooner we get done with the it, the sooner we shall get to work at the wreck again = you must send some wood of by the first vessel that comes, or else we shall have to quit the wreck, to collect our [illegible] wood which is very scarse and at a great distance from the house - Capt Darby say that his new schooner will be ready to lanch by the tenth of Sepr which will be a very good time and he say that he has plenty of wood, and he knowes our situation better than any other man that comes here and I suppose he will come as cheap as any = I omitted mentioning in my memorandum for to send for some beans barley or rice to make soup, which I hope you will send with the rest of the things, and in doing this you will much oblidged your most obedient humble servant
