Country Harbour July 25, 1806
my friend i had the honour to receive your letter yesterday morn from Capt Darby and with the enclosed invoice of provisions and have examined and found all in good order on board and ready to sail for the island the first fair wind, with your blessing and generous supply of provisions which shall be used with care and frugality. i caught about a [illegible] of fish & put on board also have some timbers pine logs on board for boats as the [illegible[ has no [illegible] or lock to the hatchery....have a watch on board. have bought of Capt Legett two [illegible] of fish for the island.
i am at present much better in health than when I left the island.
mr cameron takes passage with us on a [illegible] to the island as soon as we arrive there I shall write by Capt Darby what is [illegible] to be [illegible] to your honor
i have news, this [illegible ] lands to the source and am confident saw mills well managed would turn to great advantage.and as my son is inclined to the [illegible] I beg your assistance in granting money from time to time to him what is required to put the saw in motion in order to [illegible] the principal mill places and timber
