These are to Certify to all whom it may concern that the Subscribers being stranded on this Island have resided with Mr. James Morris (in the Brig John and Mary Jan'ry last, from that time to the present date and that we received every comfort that was in his power to grant, not only to the Subscribers, but to all the crew and people, inhabitants of the Island, the provision was delivered from time to time was frugality and without partiality, the Cabbages - potatoes -turnips and small stores was equally divided, the hogs being near all dead by the severity of the weather, saving no kind of Provisions from the wreck Mr. Morris was under the necessity of killing some of the horn cattle or wild horses, had offer'd the first on allowance or the latter as they would with frugality, we all chose the horse venison which was equal aned some superior to any common Beef on the Continent, for Bread on the Island or small stores we heard no complaints.
