Mr Speaker & Gentlemen of the Assembly
I have very great pleasure in communicating the letters received yesterday from Mr. Morris, Superintendent of the Establishment upon Sable Island, and most sincerely congratulate you on the preservation of many lives and considerable property thro the exertions of our people & the moans of relief and comfort provided by the wise, & I trust I may say [blessed?] liberality & wisdom of the Legislation. The happiness derived from reflecting on having stretched forth our hands & under favour of Divine Providence
