SHIPPED, by the Grace of God, in good Order and well Conditioned, by
Commissioners for Sable Island
in and upon the good Ship called the Lucy
whereof is Master under God, for this present Voyage, Leonard Hawbolt
and now riding at Anchor in the Port of Halifax and by God's Grace, bound for
the Island of Sable to say 3 Barr Corn, 2 Barr Meal, 7 Barrels
Potatoes, 1 Barr. Oats, 1 Barr Flower, 1 Barr Sundries, 6 Barr Bread, 2 Boxes
Sundries, 2 Keggs, 1 Plough, 4 Wood Axes, 2 Hoes, 1 Soldering Iron, a Nose for
Billows, 2 Lanthorns, 1 Bar Steal, 16 Iron Hooks, 1 Bag Sundries, a Gun, a Bridle
a Saddle, 8 Empty Hogsheads & two Bags of Shot.
being marked and numbered as in the Margin, and are to be delivered in the like good Order and well Conditioned, at the aforesaid Port of on Island of Sable (all and every the Dangers and accidents of the Seas and of Navigation, of whatever Nature of Kind forever excepted) unto mr. Edward Hawbolt.
or to his Assigns, he or they paying Freight for the said Goods Nothing
In Witness whereof the Master or Purser of the said Ship hath affirmed to two Bills of Lading, all of this Tenor and Date; the on of which two Bills being accomplished the other one to stand void. And so God fend the good ship to her desired Port in Safety. Amen.
