I take this opertunity of writing to you [illegible] fu lines as I woad like to go to sablel Island for a fu years as i have bean on befor under M.r Mckeny, When [illegible: Miss Dike?] was on the Island I stop one year and came up and as my Farthe Vacited for the toneye I cud not git down again So I have been Carpenter and boatman on board of this Ship ever since and as She is going to Englan nex mounth an I cant go without entrin on the Ship books I was like to go to Sable Island this faul if it wais a chance and [illegible] young man hoo wou like to go if it wair a aper tuneyt I can do eny thing in boat bulding or [illegible] making a house work I can git A good [illegible] from C Shortlow if thear is a apertunity rite to [illegible]
