We the undersigned those of Her Majestys Justices of the Peace for the County of Halifax being called upon by the Commissioners for managing the affairs of Sable Island on the part of that Establishment, and by William Lawson Junior Esquire on behalf of the Owners and all concerned in the Hull and materials of the Ship Mersey, lately wrecked on the said Island, to arbitrate and decide on the amount of Salvage to be paid to the said Commissioners, by the said Owners or others concerned in the said Ship, having attentively considered the statements made by both parties, do award that the sum of eighty pounds Halifax Currency be paid to the said Commissioners, and that the residue or sum of two hundred and forty three pounds twelve shillings and two pence Currency aforesaid be paid to William Lawson Junior Esquire the Agent of the Owners or Others interested in the said Ship Mersey.
