Halifax 18th August 1840
We the subscribers thrice of her Majesty's justices of the Peace for the county of Halifax requested by the Commissioners of Sable Island and James g. Price take master of the Barque Myrtle to settle and award the salvage to be paid by the owners or underwriters of the said Barque lately stranded on this Island of Sable having duly heard and considered statements made by the parties do award that and of the proceeds sale of the materials of said Barque the sum of £150 be paid to the Commissioner for managing the affairs of the said Island of Sable and that the
remaining sum of £ 349..2..1 be paid to the said Capt. James G. Price on behalf and on account of the owners on underwriters of said Barque, the cargo of the said
Barque having neither only the sum of £2..2..9 the subscribers recommend that that amount be paid to the owners thereof
