HMHS Lady Nelson going up the harbour

First arrived in Halifax on April 22, 1943. The Lady Nelson was Canada's first hospital ship, outfitted with 515 special hospital beds, special ward for shock cases, contagious diseases and fractures, private cabins, and a working operating room.
