"Office of Impost & Excise, Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, Quarter ending 30 September 1853. James Morris, Warehouse Keeper." This document lists when and where goods were warehoused, the name of the ship, whence from, the merchant, quantity and description of goods such as shoes, molasses and sugar and whether for home consumption or export.
