4 pages; he has a lease of a farm on the East River from his father, Squire William McKay, which will expire 1 May 1812. He asks government for an order or warrant to work the coal mine on his property and be permitted to supply himself and the inhabitants of Pictou with coal. His father had such a warrant from Governor Sir John Wentworth's administration.
