Nova Scotia. Office of Regulatory Affairs and Service Effectiveness

In March 2015 the Premiers of Nova Scotia and New Brunswick announced the creation of a Joint Office of Regulatory Affairs and Service Effectiveness, and in November 2015 Prince Edward Island joined the office. The joint office was established to provide strategic and operational oversight to develop and implement a Maritime Provinces agenda to identify and eliminate unnecessary rules, processes and practices. The Nova Scotia Office of Regulatory Affairs and Service Effectiveness was established on 30 July 2015, with the Premier as the minister responsible. Its purpose is to contribute to the province's and the region's competitive position through regulatory reform.
