Nova Scotia Apprenticeship Agency

On 1 July 2014 the apprenticeship division of the skills and learning branch, Department of Labour and Advanced Education, was designated as a special operating agency, to be known as the Nova Scotia Apprenticeship Agency. The agency operates under the authority of the Apprenticeship and Trades Qualifications Act. It is responsible for managing the trades training and certification system in the province, with the advice and assistance of an industry-led board. The minister of labour and advanced education is responsible for the Act and the general supervision of the Apprenticeship Agency.
