The Nova Scotia Municipal Finance Corporation is a crown corporation set up in 1979 to provide financial assistance to municipalities, municipal enterprises and hospitals through a central borrowing authority. Financial assistance includes providing loans or loan guarantees and purchasing or guaranteeing bonds, debentures, notes or other debt obligations.
