Trinidad 24th April 1839

Sir,

I have the honor to introduce to your notice Mr. William Hardin Burnley, he is a Member of Her Majesty's Council of the Island of Trinidad and is deputed by the Lieutenant Governor and Council of this Colony to forward our efforts to obtain Laborers for this Island.
He will explain to Your Excellency our views and wishes and I think I may safely request your Kindness to grant him your favour and Assistance in forwarding the object of his Mission.
