Halifax, April 25th 1823

Dear Sir,
Having learned that Franklin has for the last four or five years neglected to fulfil the terms of his lease by which he holds possession of a part of my lands adjoining yours, I shall feel obliged if when Mr. Garvey next visits Halifax, you would request that Gentleman to call at the Secretary's Office and give such information there, as from his knowledge of the actual State of the matter he is capable of doing, and which may warrant me in ejecting Francklin from my land, and ca-celling the deed lodged at the Secretary's Office by which he holds possession.

I am, Dear Sir,
Your obedient Servant
John Bazalgette
[Major &? S? MB?]

To John Rule Esq'r
