Halifax, 10th April 1816

Sir
Application being made to me as Agent to
Mr Jeffery by the Black Refugee familys settled on
the lands he conveyed to them on the Shipenacadie for
a further supply of the Government allowance of Provisions
their former quantity being expanded, I have to request
your obtaining His Excellency the Lieut. Governors directions
to that effect - they likewise solicit his Excellency would
be pleased to include them in any distribution of Farming
Utensils or Cloathing His Excellency may be ofering to
people of their description for which purpose I beg
leave to annex on the other side their names and family.
