Sir,

I have to acknowledge the receipt of His Excellency the Lieutenant Governor's order of the 25 ultimo, and have to report for His Excellency's information, that in obedience to the order, I immediately caused an Advertisement to be made for a new Contract for Victualling the Refugee Blacks on Melville Island, to commence on the 7th Instant.
