whole of the present allowance of Rations to the Negroes is Consumed by them, and he reports to me that he does not know of any Waste, or of any part of it being taken awary from the Island, and that he believes the whole is actually Consumed by them.
I have also to report that the Return of the State of the Negroes Cloathing required by His Excellency, was taken on Monday last by Mr Noonan the Clerk, who is now preparing a fair Copy thereof to lay before His Excellency which I shall have the honor of delivering to you, as soon as it can be completed.
May I also be permitted to request to receive His Excellency's order, as soon as he may think proper, as respects the providing for the Victualling the Negroes at the Island, after the present Contract for suppling them shall cease, which will be on the
