of its not being Supplied as, that the Negores were to lazy to bring Water for the making of it, the Quantity by Contract is one quart per Man per diem, and the Steward also reports that only one ounce of green Coffee has been served per Man per diem, in lieu of one ounce of ground coffee, expressed in the Contract.
I have also to report that the Collector gave Verbal Notice to Mr deMolitor the Contractor, that the part of his Contract for Supplying the Negroes in Hospital would cease on the 26th October last (the end of the Quarter) in Consequence of which he has Ceased to supply them from that period, the Collector having informed that Doctor Robb has undertaken to Supply them at a lower rate, and by His Excellency's appointment.
