I hereby certify, that John Linch, Henry Brown, Charles Cephas, Adam Green, James Wallace Black
Men whose Names are included in a certain Indenture of Conveyance of Lands lying and being near Lake Por ter so Called given to them by me for the purpose of enabling them to become permanent Settlers in this Country which is now lodged in the Secretarys Office are actually residing with their Families on my property at the said Lake where they have been Settled upwards of twelve months, that the Season is two far advanced for them to erect Houses on their own Land this Winter to render ther Situation Comfortable and that I have therefore given them liberty to remain where they now reside and work on ther own Land until the insuing Spring may enable them to remove on there own Lands _ given under my hand this 30th day of Oct [1815]
