I the Subscriber one of [illegible] [iillegible] of the Peace in & for the County of Halifax Do certify that on this 17th day of October 1818 Mrs Elizabeth Lawson wife of William Lawson Esq. personally came before me and being by me [illegible] examined separate & apart from her said husband [illegible] acknowledge & declare that she has freely voluntarily and uncompelled by her said husband signed sealed & executed the foregoing deed that therein & thereby remised released & relinquishes all her right title and Interest in and to and upon the said [illegible] lands [illegible] to our said [Sen?] the King his heirs & Successors.
