Whereas it is thought the Establishing of the Fair at Windsor will be of great utility to the Province of Nova Scotia, a number of the Gentlemen of Halifax being desirous of promoting every measure that may conduce to the public good have entered into a subscription for Premiums and rewards and will cause the following to be given on Tuesday the 21st of May 1765, the first day of the Fair.
To the persons who shall bring to the Fair for sale the
greatest number of neat cattle - 3 yds of English Blue superfine Broad Cloth & a Silver Medal
Ditto ... The greatest number of horses -- a saddle bridle & a medal
Ditto ... The greatest number of sheep -- a pair sheers a pair cards and a medal
Ditto ... The largest pair of working oxen -- a plow share & a medal
Ditto ... The next largest ..... -- a plow share
Ditto ... The finest and largest Cow -- a Butter Churn and medal
Ditto ... The largest yearling Bull -- a medal
Ditto ... The largest yearling Heifer -- a medal
Ditto ... The largest pair of Steers -- a medal
Ditto ... The best pair of Harnest Horses

Ditto ... The next pair of Harnest Horses -- a plow share
Ditto ... The best single Horse -- a medal
Ditto ... The next best single Horse. -- a whip and pair of spurs
Ditto ... The largest and fattest weather sheep. -- a pair of wool cards & a medal

Ditto ... The best Cheese not less than 12lb -- 6 yards Ribbon & a medal
The day after the Fair will be given for the following Divisions
To the best running Horse -- a pair Buckskin Breeches & a medal
The next best running Horse -- a pair Buckskin Breeches
The next best running Horse -- a whip and pair spurs
To the best wrestler under 25 years old a Laced Hat and a Medal
To the next best wrestler under 25 years old a pair shoes and Buckles
To the next best wrestler under 25 years old a pair Buckskin gloves
To the person that Shoots at a mark
with a Single Ball the best in Two shots
at 80 yards distance a Neat Turqu and a Medal
N.B. any firelocks will be permitted but rifle Barrels
Proper persons will be appointed to adjudge the different Rewards and to regulate the divisions --
The Medals will be of Silver about the size of a Dollar with an Inscription thereon Suitable to the occasion --
Three or Four of the best Stallions in the Province will be provides Gratis --
Many of the Subscribers and others will be at the Fair to purchase a great number of Cattle. --
