In the COVID-19 environment much of our reference activity involves the preparation and identification of materials for research appointments. We continue to respond to general inquiries but our timeline for responding to such messages is extended.
Depending on the nature of your inquiry and the volume of other incoming messages, it may take us up to fifteen (15) business days to reply.
We urge people to be as specific as they can be with their inquiries and suggest looking at our website (archives.novascotia.ca), our catalogue of archival holdings (archives.novascotia.ca/research-holdings/), and our vital statistics website (archives.novascotia.ca/vital-statistics/) before you inquire.
We look forward to being able to assist with your research and thank-you for your interest in the services we can provide.
