The Acadian Recorder 14 September 1833, (Number 37, Volume 21, page 2, column 2, third section) carried a report from English papers titled "Negro Emancipation Bubble." While not explicitly advocating for slavery the commentary is against the scheme to create apprenticeships and compensate slaveholders.
