Newspaper coverage of the debate on "Colonial Slavery"
On 15 August 1833 The Novascotian, (Volume VI, Number XXXIII) printed extensive parts of the debate on "the resolution to extinguish slavery" on page 1 which spilled over to most of page 2 as well. A brief editorial on page 6 (262), column 1, under the title British Politics, continued the paper's referencing to slavery in the West Indies.
