In the Nova Scotia Gazette and The Weekly Chronicle, (Volume III, Number 105, page 3, column 3, second section) John Rock of Halifax advertised offering a two-dollar reward for the apprehension of 'Thursday', an enslaved girl. She was later recaptured and Rock ordered Thursday sold in his 1776 will. She was valuated at £25 and sold to John Bishop for £20.
