Extract of letter from Bathurst to Sherbrooke presenting the Regent addresses to the House of Assembly. The end of the War of Indepence with the United States has made it necessary to deal with the challenges of Black settlement. Prince has acquiesced in wishes of the House of Assembly in regards to opening coal mines of province. Enclosed in RG 1 volume 305 number 49.
