with the wants of the applicants before relief was granted. I also desired the School Master and two of the most respectable Coloured People to assist Mr. Wells with their advice. so as to prevent any imposition, and I feel very confident that not any thing will be improperly bestowed. I think it due from the Committee to state that Mr. Holland very kindly gave them one Hundred Hammocks for this charitable purpose. I have the Honor to remain Dr. Sir Your Obt. Servt. John Starr
