By His Excellency Lieut. [Lieutenant] General Sir John C. Sherbrooke GCB
Lieutenant Governor & Commander in Chief in & over His Majesty's Province of Nova Scotia & its Dependencies vice Admiral of the same etc. - etc. - etc.

It is hereby certified that the within and foregoing Page is the original abstract of the Accounts & vouchers Exhibited by the Deputy Collector of His Majesty's Customs at Halifax for the expenses incurred in providing for Refugee Negroes between the 27th January and 26th April 1816 inclusive amounting to Six hundred & one pounds nine Shillings & six pence Sterling which accounts were this day examined & [paped?] in Council in Halifax to discharge which accounts I have drawn two Setts of Bills of Exchange as stated in the annexed Abstract.

Given under my Hand Seal at [illegible] at Halifax this 5th day of June 1816 in the 56th year of His Majesty's Reign
