To 32 days Actual Services as Surveyor of Lands, for the use of teh refugee Negroes settled at Preston, from 2nd August to 24 September 1815 inclusive at the rate of 15/. per Diem - £24.0.0

To One chainman employed on the above service of days at 7,,6d per Diem - £6.7.6

The Service above stated comprises the [?ad measurement] of the front Range of two hundred [missing word?] Farm Lot of ten Acres each, fixing the bounds to each, and attending the different Settlers, as they came from time to time, to be placed on then Lands, The Surveyor's Charge appears, moderate, and is 5/. per day less than the Customary Allowance at this time,
