Spoils of War: Privateering in Nova Scotia

Nova Scotia privateers have successful winter cruises

Privateers usually stayed in port during blustery winter weather, but the hunting was so good at the end of 1813 that activities continued into the new year, despite the risk of rough and freezing water.
