Description of the land relinquished by Wm. Lawson Esq. for the accommodation of the Blacks settling in Preston.

A certain Tract lot or parcel of land situate in said Preston called and known by lott No 2 letter D in the general plan of said Preston containing 150 Acres more or less being the whole proportion of lands assigned to Elizabeth Handasyde now Mrs. Lawson in the first division of farm lotts in Preston.

Those lands so intercepted the escheated lands that no compact settlement could have been made without obtaining the most of them. And by means of them more than 2000 Acres are connected together in the heart of the Township upon which with the exception of a few detached lotts all the Blacks are settled and have an easy communication with the main road through Preston into the interior parts of the Country.
