Knight Commander of the Most Honorable Military Order of the
Bath, Lieutenant-Governor, and Commander in Chief,
in and over His Majesty's Province of Nova Scotia
and its Dependencies, &c. &c. &c.

To the Treasurer of the Province

You are hereby directed to pay unto Messrs. Hitchins [sic] & Crowell, the sum of Fifty Pounds for employing two able bodied men to reside with them on the Seal Islands [sic] for the purpose of assisting Shipwrecked Mariners for the last [half--crossed out] year

£50-

out of the Duties of Impost and Excise appropriated for the support of His Majesty's Government, as granted by the General Assembly of this Province, and in so doing this shall be your Warrant.

in the 5th Year of His Majesty's reign
