Sir

On making application to the commissioners of Sable Island for the amount awarded to the owners of the late American Schooner "Fulton," for property + materials saved from said vessel, I am informed that the amount thus awarded has been detained by order of His Excellency the Lieu.t Governor. I have therefore to request information why these ^funds are not paid over to me, as has been the invariable case in all former wrecks.
