Clothing for the Use of such Persons as may be cast on the Island, who in General are destitute of every Article of that kind. Also an Extra Quantity of Provisions.

With Respect to the assistance that can be furnished to Vessels that may be stranded on the Coast, few Means can be employed with Success, owing to the violent surf on the Beach, though it would be well to have a light boat attached to the two principal Stations, to be in Readiness should it be practicable to launch them. A deck’d Boat would also be useful, in Order to communicate with the Main Land, in the event of a greater Number of Persons being collected than the Island would maintain.
