Sable Island, April 18th - 1848

I certify to whom it may concern that the bearer, John Nisbett, has assisted in part with the wreck of the Schooner Isabella, and has assisted to the utmost of his power in all the work at the wreck of the Ship Levant, both lost away here in the year 1847.

As witness of my hand at Sable Island, this 18th day of April 1848
