Joseph Howe and His World
"Arrival of the 'China' "
Newspaper clipping announces arrival of R.M.S.'China'. Its passengers included Hon. Joseph Howe and Mr. Andrew Downs. A rogue wave washed over the vessel and carried a seaman overboard and killed James C. Cogswell, President of the Halifax Banking Company.
