On page 3, column 2, third section, Abel Michener offers a five pound reward for the return of James, an enslaved man.

Abel Michener appears to have arrived in Falmouth in 1761. We don’t know how the story of James ends but we do know that in his 1794 will Michener bequested his “Negro Charlott” to Benjamin DeWolf of Windsor.
