Cameron's Store was owned by Otto Bertle "Bert" and Odessa (Gerrard) Cameron during the early to mid 1900s. The store (attached to the house pictured here) was located on the old Highway 7, now called "Cameron's Loop". The store stocked all manner of dry goods as well as Premium Gasoline (pump is visible to the right behind the automobile). The goods were shipped to the Spry Harbour government wharf. In the back of the store was an ice cream parlour. Pictured here are Harris Josey and Percy Cameron showing off the results of their hunting trip. It was common at these times to hunt moose, as well as deer, bear, rabbits and fowl. The car belonged to Percy Cameron and is a 1922 Reo, a rather unusal car to be found on the Eastern Shore. The store burned down around 1940.
