Beech Hill is a small community along Highway 7 between Lake Charlotte and Head Ship Harbour. It was best known for its canteen and dance hall during the 1950s and early 1960s. It was owned and operated by Aubrey and Bud Homans and was a gathering place for the young from many communities along the Eastern Shore, with music supplied by the Bud Boutilier Band. In 1964 the building burned down.
