This early map of Digby represents the importance of shipping during this time period. Boats, including the ferry travelling between Saint John and Digby, can be seen in the surrounding waters and docked at the Digby wharf. The train is also on the wharf indicating cargo and passengers commonly transferred from train to ship or vice versa.
