Antigonish Heritage Museum

Antigonish’s White House

This gracious home was situated on Main Street directly across from Columbus Field, Home of the Antigonish Highland Games.

It was the residence of Judge Hugh MacDonald (1827-1899), Reformer and Anti Confederate.

Alexander Sterling MacMillan (1871-1955) Premier of Nova Scotia also resided here for a time.

In later years the residence served as a Boarding house; it burned in 1939.
