Wasn’t That a Party
The Antigonish Highland Society was established 22nd of August 1861 “for preserving the martial spirit, language, dress, music, games and antiquities of the Caledonians. For relieving distressed Highlanders at a distance from the native homes, and for promoting the improvement and general welfare of our native country.”
The enclosed excerpt is a description of the 15th Anniversary celebration of the Society.
